Rev Emmanuel Olorunmagba, the candidate for House of Representatives, Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, has started working when the election has not been conducted, as there is now serious improvement in electricity supply in some communities that he earlier reported that used to be in blackout continually for up to 25 days.

It is of note that towards the end of September to early October, 2022; some members of Magba Campaign Organization team led by Rev Emmanuel Olorunmagba, embarked on a tour of the entire Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency to ascertain the pressing problems that will require his attention after his victory as a Honourable Member, House of Representatives. Part of their discovery was the terrible state of electricity supply that some communities are in total black out since January while others used to be in blackout for up to 25 days straight.

Then on Tuesday October 4, 2022 he reported it on media, enumerating the problems and proffering solutions with a solid promise to sponsor a comprehensive “Power Bill 2023” that will address the issues in detail when he gets to National Assembly.

The good news is that we have received another report that some of the communities have started witnessing improved electricity supply that they have not witnessed for some years.

One of the people that gave us the good news, identified himself simply as Mr. Abu, the Chairman of Welders Association, Ayetoro Gbede, Ijumu LGA (the very community of Senator Dino Melaye). According to part of the report, communities like Ayetoro, Ilu Agba, Odokoro, Araromi, Okoro all in Gbede of Ijumu LGA, now had better power supply. He precisely cited last week Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and this week Monday from 8am to 5pm and yesterday Tuesday from 8am to 2pm and to their utmost amazement, today again.

Before our tour, these are the communities that used to be in total blackout for up to 25 days continuously, and even on the few days they will have power supply it will only last for 3 to maximum of 4 hours except a day before disconnection exercises.

On this note while commending Electricity Distribution Company, Kabba, Kogi State for the improved supply, we hope it will continue to improve in all affected communities ahead of the “Power Bill 2023”.

Certainly, Nigeria can work again if we have passionate and proactive people who are ready to give it what it takes. And you can count on Rev. Emmanuel Olorunmagba. Hence, we solicit your support and vote for him to ensure he emerge as Member, House of Representatives, Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency of Kogi State.
